Where are you from?

I´m from Dublin, but I have been living in Spain for the last 10 years. 8 years in Barcelona and 2 in Pamplona.

What do you like doing in your free time?

I try to spend as much time as possible with my partner and daughter. When we had our daughter Olivia, everyone told me to enjoy every minute as she’ll grow up so fast. And they were right, she’s nearly 4 years old and is in her 2nd year at school already!

What sports do you like?

I used to spend all my time playing football, 20 years playing 11 a side at various levels but injuries eventually put an end to that!

Now I am into Triathlon. So, when I am not with my family, you can find me swimming, biking or running! Training hard at the moment ahead of the Dublin Marathon in October.

What’s your favourite music?

I grew up listening to rock and roll mostly although as a teenager I went through a dance/rave phase (I am happy no smart phones existed back then to record my moves!!). I listen to Oasis, Rolling Stones, Blur, Radiohead, Guns N Roses, U2, Led Zeppelin amongst others. But above all a huge Beatles fan. I hope that when I am 76, I will be as fit and active as Paul McCartney who is starting another world tour this year!

What’s your favourite book?

Born to Run.

What do you miss most about your home?

Family and friends. Definitely not the rain!

What do you like about living in Pamplona?

Great summers. Snow in the winter. Lovely parks, great places to run and cycle and it’s very safe for kids and adults.

What was your favourite TV programme when you were a kid?

The A team!

What’s your favourite English word?

Placebo or nefarious.

What is your favourite football team? Why?

I’ve been a Liverpool FC fan since I was a kid. I went to my first game when I was 17. Brilliant city, very friendly people, great football club, home of the Beatles. That trip really cemented my support!
